Artist Cristina Biaggi Creates Women’s History Art to Support Women’s Rights Group
Celebrate our foremothers while supporting SuffrageForward!
The bags, designed by a woman-owned business, archerienyc, and manufactured entirely in the USA, are designed with Biaggi’s iconic collages on each side of the bag. When asked about the artwork on the tote bags, she remarked, “The two sides of the bag are a collage relief that depict some of the more notable suffragists such as Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B Anthony. They are shown in large dimension in the foreground with a background of Suffrage activity. The depiction of these important women in a larger size are meant to create a feeling of movement to seem as if they are converging on you the viewer and carrier of the bag.”
